We recently had the opportunity to interview Aiman Al-Maimani, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at OSOS. With nearly two decades of expertise in Industrial Economy and Digital Transformation, handling complex Digital transformation portfolios and Business transformation success, Aiman has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead to a successful realization.

We started the interview by asking, “What ignited your passion and led you to embark on your professional journey in this field?”
Aiman Al-Maimani responds, “My journey into the IT field began with the passion to develop a way that IT can revolutionize industries. This made me prioritize return on investment, innovation, strategic leadership, and project execution across various domains. My involvement in spearheading initiatives from ground-up projects like Establishing new Industrial Economics, Digital Transformation, infrastructure development, and ERP implementation to managing Industrial advancements like Manufacturing, automation, cloud, and renewable energy projects showcased my holistic approach to Business.”

We were intrigued to learn more about Aiman Al-Maimani’s background and the factors that contributed to the advent of his business. So, we asked, “Share more about your background and the unique story behind the inception of your business. What sets it apart in the market?”
He shared, “I have been fortunate to work and experience various environments, from Defence, government, regulation, Manufacturing, and services. So, being in OSOS is another unique experience as the company is an organization specialized in maximizing digitalization potential for businesses all around the world. OSOS has been a strategic partner to more than 400 successful organizations in more than 17 countries and counting, where it builds and develops Its Owen IP enterprise solutions.”

Every industry tends to have certain misconceptions revolving around it. So, we asked, “Identify a prevalent misconception about your industry or role that you believe needs clarification. How would you address and rectify this perception?”
“As a chief Strategy officer at OSOS and Previously the Chief Innovation Officer at the same company for both positions, the misconception is that both positions hold the organization’s steering wheel as they can drive the future. But in both cases, the CSO/CIO must work with the CEO and stakeholders to articulate a translation of agreed business goals and objectives and create sensible plans or strategies to achieve objectives.” Aiman shared.
Adaptability Amidst Challenges
“Reflecting on your journey, what significant challenges have you encountered in your business, and how did you successfully navigate and overcome them?”
He replied, “At the forefront was retaining talents; brilliant resources are the defining factor in any start-up Industrial Economy. I have devised a way to create a very exclusive environment where we foster and grow talents using a community of empowerment, where there is a guaranteed talent supply pool.”

“Outline your professional aspirations and goals. What strategic initiatives are you implementing to achieve these objectives?”
He shared, “My primary concern is growing OSOS as an international tech brand. The strategic initiatives that I am planning to implement /and monitor:
- Brand awareness strategy
- Launch a strategy to reduce outsourcing
- Online products and services strategy
- Cost Optimization Strategy
- Develop leadership talent to support expansion plans aggressively
- Set out on a research effort to contribute to the next generation of products.”

“Collaboration and teamwork are integral to success. Could you elaborate on the methods and practices you employ to foster a culture of collaboration within your organization or group?”
He shared, “I encourage open dialogue and continuous discussions during the planning phase. And ensures that the team completes the storming and norming phases, aiming to have uninterrupted performing phases.”

We were curious to learn more about the industry’s evolution from Aiman Al-Maimani’s perspective. So, we asked, “How do you foresee the evolution of your industry or field over the next 5-10 years? Are there emerging trends or innovations you anticipate playing a pivotal role?”
He shared, “With the way the IT industry is moving, I foresee that we will be in a future where IT is an essential utility like electricity or the internet, where all business fields will be connected and exchanging operational information automatically. Which will make Decision-making more systematic and ROI driven.”

“The only advice I believe made a significant change to my career was not to wait for opportunities; You need to create them yourself.
