Amidst the rapid adoption of the technology in the country, around 75 percent of the UAE organizations and companies have either maintained or raised their investment in artificial intelligence initiatives.
Technology company Dataiku found in its latest research report that the UAE figure is compared to 69 percent in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The report stated that around 97 percent of UAE businesses consider AI to be a
“major enabler” when it comes to being stronger amidst the current economic conditions, compared to 95 percent in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Sid Bhatia, Regional Vice President and general manager for the Middle East and Turkey at Dataiku, stated,” Enterprises in the UAE have firm grounding as they have been prioritizing competitive advantage and improved customer experience.”
Besides, a study by Magnitt found this month that AI is projected to have a substantial effect on the technology ecosystem of the Middle East and North Africa, as rapid development in the sector drives adoption across industries.
Magnitt further added that UAE is also projected to reap the most significant impact from AI, securing to close at 14 percent of its gross domestic product by 2030.
Moreover, the country has been among the front runners regarding AI adoption.
Dataiku stated that the three top business goals that the UAE organizations are looking to attain through AI are innovation( 64 percent), competitive advantage ( 56 percent), and improved customer experience ( 54 percent).
Besides, around 92 percent of reporters in the country stated that they were using low-code or no-code development platforms to make AI more available to business users, which will help them improve the daily decision-making process.
Mr. Bhatia added, “To harness the value of AI and truly achieve business goals, we just can’t leave the progress solely in the hands of data scientists and backroom technologies. We need to fully democratize AI so that the wide availability of platforms like ChatGPT and Bard serves as a great example of what that can look like”.
