Kensington Palace revealed on Wednesday that the Princess of Wales will need to spend up to two weeks in the hospital and several months recovering from a successful stomach operation.
According to a statement, the 42-year-old wife of William, Prince of Wales, the heir apparent to the British monarchy, was admitted to a private clinic on Tuesday in central London.
“The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in the hospital for ten to fourteen days before returning home to continue her recovery,” the palace stated. “Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter (on March 31).”
Although they wouldn’t reveal what ailment she was receiving treatment for, royal authorities did ensure it wasn’t cancer. The princess, also called Kate, is one of the royal family’s most well-liked and frequently photographed members.
YouGov reports that Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away in September 2022 at 96, is still the most famous person, with 75% of respondents.
William, 41, and Catherine have three young children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, five years old. Catherine is usually spotted with William. However, she is making more and more public appearances by herself, especially in her main areas of interest, such as early childhood education.
