According to M42 Healthcare Group, the first tech-enabled one-stop healthcare facility in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi will serve over 6,000 Al Dhafra people with endocrine diseases and diabetes.
The goal of the cutting-edge M42 Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC), which has its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, is to offer comprehensive care for patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders. It is set to open in Madinat Zayed.
The infrastructure, expected to open in the second half of this year, will reduce travel times for many people by more than 75%.
According to the company, ICLDC in Abu Dhabi City currently provides services to approximately 9% of Al Dhafra inhabitants with diabetes.
Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, managing director and group CEO of M42, stated, “M42 is committed to providing world-class preventive and personalized health solutions that enable individuals to put their health back in their own hands.”
The new facility will also be easier to access for residents of the Western Region’s Liwa, Mirfa, Gayathi, Ruwais, and Tarif.
In addition to offering clinical care, the center will advocate for Type 2 diabetes prevention through a comprehensive community outreach program that includes health screenings, workshops, and educational initiatives for organizations and schools. It will also encourage an active lifestyle and a balanced diet.
