A Large Fire at a Paint Plant in New Delhi Left at Least 11 People Dead and 4 Injured.

According to news agency Press Trust of India, a massive fire tore through a paint factory in New Delhi, the capital of India, killing at least 11 people and injuring four more.

According to fire officials, the victims were trapped on the floors above with no way out when the fire broke out late on Thursday on the factory’s ground floor. The building is situated in the northern New Delhi neighborhood of Alipur and contains a chemical warehouse.

What started the fire wasn’t immediately apparent. After fighting for over five hours, 22 fire engines put out the flames, allowing the burned corpses of the eleven victims to be found in the debris. As of now, the victims’ identities are unknown. India has a high fire rate because to the widespread disregard for safety regulations and building standards by both people and builders.
