Invest in Sharjah Hosts a Gathering to Draw Chinese Investors.

Leading industry figures and well-known Chinese business owners convened for a business roundtable recently hosted by the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah).

The Department of Government Relations (DGR) Chairman, Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, and the CEO of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, were present at the event, which emphasized boosting investment and collaboration in important areas. The event discussed Sharjah’s advanced investment climate and the exciting prospects arising from its growth in vital and cutting-edge industries.

The roundtable was a significant component of a larger delegation from Sharjah led by the DGR and including representatives from eighteen entities and institutions in China. Future collaboration and matching investments with Sharjah’s growth needs were the main topics of discussion to increase the leading industrial sector’s contribution to the country’s GDP.

Participants investigated possible partnerships in research and development to support Sharjah’s various development initiatives. They also considered projects involving green energy technologies to improve sustainability efforts in Sharjah and the UAE.

Representatives from various industries interacted with the Chinese business community, including GreenTech, Advanced Manufacturing, Agri-Food Technology, Mobility & Logistics, Health & Wellbeing, and Culture & Tourism. These talks emphasized Sharjah’s sectoral diversity, facilitating domestic and foreign investors’ access to strategic capital allocation and investment opportunities.
