A 50-meter-tall cell tower that weighed more than 10 tons was taken in an odd occurrence at the Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh’s Ujjaini hamlet, according to the police.
Although the technician’s complaint to the police dates only from November 29, it claims that the tower was discovered missing on March 31.
Based on his accusation, police have filed a FIR under IPC Section 379 (stealing). The technician said in the complaint that not only was the tower missing, but also a shelter, electrical fittings, and other items that were all a part of the mobile tower assembly and were valued at more than Rs 8.5 lakh.
Police were busy on Thursday investigating the incident, with a team from Sandipan Ghat police station visiting the scene and taking statements from the villagers and landowner.
The technician, Rajesh Kumar Yadav, claimed in his complaint that in January of this year, his company had erected a tower in the field of one Ubaid Ullah in the Kaushambi district’s Ujjaini hamlet.
Yadav claimed that on March 31, 2023, he went to the location for an inspection and found that the complete tower and various accessories,
