According to Schwab, the world will change in ten years, hence an ethical framework governing AI is necessary.

Professor Klaus Schwab, the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), urged leaders to get ready for the “intelligent age” and use technology to build a more inclusive and human-centered society during the opening session of the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2024.
In the midst of the swift advancement of technology, Klaus outlined three objectives that states had to strive towards fulfilling.

Regarding the third objective, Schwab emphasized the necessity of putting moral frameworks in place to control AI and ensure it’s not misused.

“Going ahead, we don’t want to employ the Fourth Industrial Revolution to establish a bureaucratic bureaucracy.” We do not wish to adopt a technocratic system. According to Schwab, we aspire to what I would call a “humanocracy,” in which technology is used to realize every human potential and further improve the world.

Schwab discussed the convergence of AI, quantum computing, and big data. “We must be prepared for a world where we combine all of these to get the greatest benefit to serve humanity,” he continued.
