His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates, began a working visit to the Republic of India on Tuesday.
Meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are on his schedule as they discuss ways to strengthen the strategic alliance between their two nations. Additionally, His Highness is expected to attend the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit.
The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, greeted the president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) upon his arrival at Ahmedabad, Gujarat’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The two leaders saw a performance by a local folk group and a sizable piece of art that included pictures of His Highness and the Indian Prime Minister.
Following Sheikh Mohamed from the airport, Prime Minister Modi drove by large groups of Indian citizens lined the streets, greeting His Highness with Emirati and Indian flags.
A delegation led by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor; and Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security, is accompanying the UAE President during the visit.
