RIYADH: The World Energy Council has declared that the 27th World Energy Congress would be held in the Saudi capital of Riyadh from October 26 to 29, in 2026.
The convention is being held at the Riyadh Front Center, which is well situated in the middle of one of the most significant energy regions in the world as well as the capital.
After a fiercely competitive bidding process that included all 70 national member committees of the council representing over 3,000 organizations in the energy ecosystem, the location was selected.
By bringing together stakeholders representing energy interests from all over the world, the World Energy Congress—the most prestigious, inclusive, and influential energy event in the world—has contributed to the advancement of energy transitions for more than a century.
“Saudi Arabia is pleased to have been awarded the opportunity to host the World Energy Congress 2026 at this important moment in global energy policy,” stated Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s minister of energy.
Since it has been an annual event for a century, the World Energy Congress is particularly significant to global energy leaders because, as the Kingdom works to meet the sustainability goals of Vision 2030, it brings together the entire spectrum of stakeholders, from energy producers to consumers and all points in between.
