Weather in the UAE: thunderstorms, lightning, and a lot of rain

On Friday morning,Weather in the UAE severe rain and thunder battered parts of the United Arab Emirates.

In updates shared on social media, the National Centre of Meteorology reported intense rainfall in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Sharjah, and Ajman.

Beginning about five in the morning on Friday, there was a lot of rain, thunderstorms, and lighting in several areas of Dubai.

The Northern Emirates were warned of severe rain, thunder, and wind by the weather bureau, which issued an orange and yellow alert. By lunchtime, things should quiet down.

Following the accumulation of rain near Sheikh Zayed Road on Friday morning, the Road and Transport Authority of Dubai also issued a flood warning. Drivers were advised to choose different routes.

Additionally, on Friday morning, the operator of Dubai schools, KHDA, posted a warning on social media, asking parents and educators to exercise flexibility with their children, students, and staff during the rainy weather.

It’s crucial to be adaptable during rainy seasons; parents and schools can determine what’s best for their kids, fellow pupils, and employees. If you’re driving today, be careful,” KHDA posted on X.
