In a statement, the police also announced a hefty fine of AED 100,000 for anyone caught buying or using illegal fireworks. The authorities emphasized that the illegal use of fireworks poses a significant threat to public safety and could result in severe injuries, property damage, and fire hazards.

Dubai Police have called on the community to cooperate with them in ensuring public safety and order during the celebrations. They have also urged residents to report any suspicious activity or the use of illegal fireworks immediately.

In recent years, Dubai has implemented strict regulations to control the use of fireworks during celebrations, including New Year’s Eve. The authorities have designated specific areas for the use of fireworks and have licensed authorized vendors to sell them.

The police have also emphasized that the use of drones to capture images or videos of fireworks is strictly prohibited and violators could face legal action. Drones could interfere with flight safety and pose a risk to public safety, especially during crowded events.

In conclusion, Dubai Police have warned residents against the use of illegal fireworks during the New Year’s Eve celebrations and have announced a heavy fine of AED 100,000 for violators. The authorities have urged the public to prioritize safety and to report any suspicious activity or the use of illegal fireworks immediately.
