Sheikh Zayed's Tomb is Visited by the Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders

Dr. Yousif Al-Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, welcomed His Eminence Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, Professor Ahmed Al-Tayeb, during his visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

His Eminence continued to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s tomb, where he prayed for mercy and forgiveness and recited the Fatiha in remembrance of his legacy and astute approach that promoted a climate of peace, tolerance, and cohabitation among all peoples.

His Magnificence Sheikh Zayed, according to the Grand Imam, is a rare example of a wise leader whose vision has made the United Arab Emirates a model of progress, development, and the preservation of religion and values. Through his honorable actions and positions, he also left a rich legacy of supporting humanitarian and charitable endeavors, greatly aiding in establishing a culture of tolerance and coexistence.

The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and the Muslim Council of Elders Chairman commended the mosque for its civilizational message, which promotes coexistence, tolerance, and openness to others. He said that this message stems from the founding fathers’ virtues and values and that the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre has played a significant role in advancing civilizational communication between various cultures and peoples across the globe.
