As part of Operation “Chivalrous Knight 3” to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the fourth UAE aid ship carrying 5,340 tonnes of humanitarian supplies sailed today for the Egyptian city of Al Arish and the Gaza Strip.
The ship, which sailed from the Port of Fujairah, carries 590 tonnes of building materials and 4,750 tonnes of food.
313 trucks loaded their cargo onto the ship, carried by the Emirates Red Crescent, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, and the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation.
The UAE has started several projects as part of Operation “Chivalrous Knight 3,” such as constructing five automatic bakeries and two field hospitals—one inside the Gaza Strip and the other a floating hospital off the coast of Al Arish city.
Additionally, six desalination plants have been established in Gaza, producing 1.2 million gallons of water per day pumped into the Gaza Strip, benefiting over 600,000 people. Additionally, flour has been provided to eight bakeries already in Gaza.
The Joint Operations Command recently started Operation “Birds of Goodness” to airdrop relief supplies to remote, landlocked areas of the northern Gaza Strip. A total of 3,382 tonnes of relief and humanitarian supplies have been dropped so far.
