In order to provide services, such as reporting minor traffic accidents and lost and found services, the authorities partnered with gas companies.
According to authorities on Friday, June 7, approximately 400 drivers—including elderly residents, hard-working individuals, and expectant mothers—have benefited from the free auto repair service offered by Dubai Police as part of its “On-the-Go” campaign.
The program, which was introduced at the beginning of the year, offers residents of Dubai police and emergency services at 138 gas stations
The “On-the-Go” initiative’s head, Captain Majid bin Saeed Al Kaabi, stated that since its inception, “it has generated 1,679 reports of minor traffic accidents submitted by the public at petrol stations across the emirate; 496 reports were filed against unknown parties involved in vehicle damage; 265 cars were repaired; 129 reports were registered through Police Eye service; and 996 lost items were returned to their owners.”
These come in addition to the 395 people who received the free auto repair service.
The gasoline companies Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), and Emarat partnered with Dubai Police on this initiative. The services offered included reporting of minor traffic accidents, lost and found services, and auto repair services.
In addition to basic traffic accidents and missing person reports, Police Eye can also be used to report scams and other types of e-crimes. Foreign tips, the majority of which are connected to illegal drugs, are also received by Police Eye.
