All Incoming Flights are Temporarily Diverted at Dubai Airports.

Due to the intense rain and flooding on Tuesday, April 16, Dubai Airports can confirm that Dubai International (DXB) operations are still severely impacted. Operations were briefly halted this afternoon for 25 minutes due to the strong storm, but they have since resumed and are currently in recovery mode. Since 00:02 LT this morning, 21 outward and 24 inbound flights have been canceled, and 3 planes have been rerouted to other nearby airports, according to the statement.

Until the unfavorable scenario improves, Dubai International (DXB) airport is temporarily diverting inbound flights scheduled to arrive this evening on Tuesday. According to videos posted on various social media sites on Tuesday, runways were flooded following heavy rains that began early on Tuesday in the United Arab Emirates.

According to Dubai Airports, there has been significant flooding on the access roads around the airport in Dubai, and the current weather forecasts suggest that the unrest will continue to create delays and disruptions into the early hours of Wednesday, April 17.

Response teams have been mobilized, and we are collaborating closely with airlines and other service providers to minimize customer disturbance and promptly return to normal operations, according to the statement.
