83% of Sharjah Taxis are now Eco-Friendly Hybrid Vehicles.

According to Sharjah Taxi, 83% of its fleet is currently made up of eco-friendly, hybrid cars that run on both petrol and electricity. Sharjah Taxi’s ambitious plan to have a fleet that is 100% environmentally friendly by 2027 includes this initiative. This dedication to environmentally friendly choices aligns with the UAE’s objective of embracing sustainable solutions and cutting carbon emissions.

“We at Sharjah Taxi continuously work on developing and updating our fleet because we are committed to achieving sustainable development,” stated Khalid Al-Kindi, general manager of the company. This initiative offers eco-friendly substitutes for fossil fuel-based transportation, such as electric and hybrid cars.

Sharjah Taxi is still dedicated to providing its customers with many services. This covers airport transfers, city taxi services, family taxis, luxury limos, school transportation (Rafaq), taxis catering to the Eastern and Central regions, and taxis for women. The investment division of the Sharjah government, Sharjah Asset Management, is in charge of running Sharjah Taxi. The UAE wants to adopt sustainable solutions and cut carbon emissions, and this commitment to eco-friendly options is in line with that aim.
